Eugene Burgess
Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator
Attended high school in Jersey City, New Jersey where he lettered in Track, basketball, and football. After high school coach Burgess attended University of Kansas playing only 1 year before leaving the program to attend St. Peter's College in Jersey City. After a short stint with the Peacocks, Burgess decided to join the United States Marine Corps where he served 4 years on Camp Pendleton in California. Within his first year Burgess was shipped to Saudi Arabia serving in Operation Desert Storm.
While in the USMC Burgess played football for the Marines earning top honors as a running back, making the All-Marine team all 4 years of service. After the Marines, Burgess attended Penn State University as a fourth string running back and long snapper. Graduating with a BA, Burgess decided to try the Pro's. After several tryouts Burgess lucked up and served on the practice squad of the New York Jets. After being released he went back to San Diego and began his coaching career coaching the first women's professional football team in San Diego. A 2-year resident of Spokane Washington, Burgess played for the Spokane SaberCats as a strong safety, he then played for the Blue Mountain Stars where he earned All-Star status as a tight end. He then went back to Spokane as Assistant Head Coach/ Offensive Coordinator we he lead the Sabercats to their best season in 4 years, having 5 offensive players rank on top the leader board statistically. Coach Burgess is now attending Gonzaga University where is he working toward his MBA.
This is coach Burgess' second year as Head Coach and he along with the ensemble of coaches, is looking forward to putting the Wolfpack on the map. With a cast of veterans from the Stateline Miners & the Spokane Sabercats, mixed with some fresh new talent, there is a great deal of expectations coming from within the camp. |

Jim Nendel
Assistant Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator
Jim Nendel has been involved in coaching for over 25 years at the high school collegiate and semi-professional levels. He has been involved in developing successful programs at Bend High School in Oregon, Whitworth University and as the head coach took two separate teams to national title games in Great Britain. He was also an assistant coach for the Great Britain national team. He has coached numerous All-Conference and All-American players in his tenure, as well as Minnesota Vikings kicker Ryan Longwell. Jim is married and has three children who occupy his time. |

Charles Brant
Linebackers Coach and Assistant Defensive Coordinator
Charles attended High School in Zephyrhills Florida. Charles was a four year letterman in baseball and played football. Charles attended Seminole Community College in Sanford Florida where he was named Florida JUCO Player of the year in 1984. After finishing his education there Charles spent 1 semester at Florida Southern College. Deciding college wasn’t for him he joined the Coast Guard. In the Coast Guard Charles was an Aviation Electronics Technician and a C-130 Navigator. Charles finished his Bachelors degree in Business Management in 2005 while still serving.
Charles spent 20 years in the Coast Guard and retired from service in 2006. He went to San Antonio Texas for a year and then ended up in Spokane Washington. He is currently working on his Mater’s Degree in Sports Administration.
This is Charles’ first season coaching football. His other coaching endeavors have included Middle School and High School Baseball and High School Golf. Charles hopes that coaching football will round out his coaching abilities in order to get a collegiate coaching job. |

Greg Harmon
Running Backs Coach
Attended Bayside High School in Bayside Queens New York where he lettered in Baseball and Football. After high school coach Harmon attended William Paterson College playing only two years in Paterson New Jersey where he also lettered in baseball and football before leaving the program for an opportunity to play in Parma Italy as a player and coach. During his six year playing career for the Parma Italy Panthers, Harmon would come back to the United States to try out for several NFL teams, New York Giants, Kansas City Chiefs, and San Francisco 49ers. After being released by each team, Harmon would play for several Semi Pro Football teams the Brooklyn Cowboys, Brooklyn Kings, San José Bandits, teams while waiting to go back to Europe to fulfill his football contract requirements in Italy. After retiring for a short time Harmon decided to move to Okanogan County in Washington State. He was asked by the coaching staff at Okanogan High School if he would be interested in coaching the running backs. Harmon coached Okanogan High School for one year and then moved on to coach at Omak High School one year before moving to Reno Nevada to become a Deputy Sheriff in Washoe County. After 5 years as a Deputy Sheriff, Harmon retired and moved to Seattle Washington to revive his football aspirations to play for the Snohomish County Vikings as a player coach. As the oldest running back in the league he still holds the team record at 11.6 yards per carry.
Harmon moved to Spokane Washington after the 911 attacks to take a job with the Department of Home Land Security and played one year with the Spokane Nightmare. He is the older brother of Ronnie Harmon San Diego Charges, Derrick Harmon San Francisco 49ers and Kevin Harmon Seattle Seahawks. He is has been married to his wife Sue for 5 years and currently lives on the Harmon Ranch in South Spokane and raises quarter and thoroughbred horses. |

Coach Randy Worrell
Assistant Coach/ Defensive Line
A job change brought Coach Randy Worrell from the other side of the Cascades to the Wolfpack this season after being involved in semi-pro football for the past seven years with the Washington Cavaliers (two years) and the South Sound Shockers (five years). He also has over 20 years experience as a coach at the youth level, from grades two to eight.
With the Cavs, he was the offensive line coach for a year and the offensive coordinator for the second season. The Shockers came calling in 2005 where he was the offensive line coach for two seasons, offensive assistant for one and “The Voice” of the Shockers on television for the final two seasons.
He was awarded nine letters in four years of high school, including three football and four wrestling. His initial love is the offensive line, but a need at the defensive line has him moving over to the defense with Coach Jim this year. Randy has experience at D-line, though from the days of “leather helmets!” But tackling is still tackling…
Randy is married to wife Sharon, recently celebrating their 32nd anniversary. They have three kids, grown and gone; with two grandkids, granddaughter Madyson, six, and grandson Scott, two.

Tyler Brett
Assistant Coach/ Lineman
Tyler Brett has been running a zone blocking offense as an offensive linemen since conception. Tyler was a two-time all conference and a one-time all area offensive tackle at Richland High School were he excelled in football. He played two season at center for the Spokane Sabercats, one of those years under Coach Burgess where he excelled at play calling. Due to injuries, Tyler is unable to play any longer and is excited at the opportunity to learn more, teach more, and lead the offensive line to a great season. |

Joseph Mitchell
Assistant Coach/ Wide Receivers
Joe Mitchell started his football career in Sacramento, CA as a Sacramento Vikings in Pop Warner where he learned the true basics of football. He then went on from there after skipping two years (7th and 8th grade) of football. He returned to football at John F. Kennedy High (Cougars) where he started all four years, graduated in 1993 where he lettered in football & basketball. After high school, Joe Mitch continued his education and his football development at Sac City College where he played two years. Thought his football career was over until Mike Kramer (Head Coach at Eastern Washington Univ.) came looking for a wide receiver; Joe Mitchell was his choice and was on his way to Spokane Washington to become an Eagle. After 1 year at Eastern Washington Joe Mitchell met his gorgeous wife Rhodesia Ann Singleton, married in 2001 and had his beautiful daughter Ashyiah Ellamae Mitchell in 2002. Joe Mitchell Played semi-pro football with the Capital City Furry where he excelled as a dominant wide receiver and then he went on to play for the Spokane Nightmare where he ended his playing career. This is Joe Mitchell’s first year coaching & he is extremely excited about the potential he has with his receiving core. |

Noah Gomes
Assistant Coach/ Wide Receivers
Noah Gomes went to Riverside High School. There he helped the football team with the players’ development on and off the field for four years. The coaches made him to call a few plays a week. In 2006, he graduated from ITT TECH with a BA in Digital Entertainment and Game Design. In 2008, he coached a youth football team as the assistant coach. They won city, 7-1. The following year, he had to step in as an offense coach after starting 0-2. They won three straight and the team finished the season very strong and focused despite numerous challenges.
He has Cerebral Palsy and use a laptop and phonetic alphabet to communicate with the players and coaches. |
